NEW: ARGENTINA ON SAEGIS™ ON SERION™
In the 21st century, Argentina has become an
attractive market for global oriented corporations. It ranks third
in South America in total population (about 40 million people) and
30th globally.
The attractiveness and size of the Argentina market result in a
high number of registered trademarks. At the end of 2007 the
cumulative total number of trademarks in Argentina is 1.3 million
and yearly some 65.000 new trademarks are added.
Argentina marks are registered in only one product or service
class where in most other countries trademarks are registered in
several product and service classes. 1.3 million single class
trademarks correspond to around 700.000 multiple class trademarks
in other trademark databases.
In this light and as an ideal complement to the already existing
Brazil trademark database, Thomson CompuMark recently introduced
its Argentina database for online trademark screenings. As is the
case in most of our online databases, you can screen all active
trademarks as well as the inactive trademarks of the past 3
years.
